Come Fly with Amy

At Christmastime, it's back to Hull for an escape on home turf.

Story

Sent back to the 1920s only to be trapped in Amy Johnson’s study, you’ve got an hour to find your way out. I love escape rooms with links to the local area, and so the fact that this one is inspired by Hull’s own pilot who became the first woman to fly solo from London to Australia ticked the box for me.

Puzzles

A mixture of dead-easy and slightly more convoluted travel-themed puzzles to fit in with the story. The final puzzle results in one of the cutest ends to an escape room ever.

Mise-en-scène

Charming and nostalgic, it did feel like we’d gone back in time, especially with the old-fashioned, muffled radio playing in the background. A study is a simple setting, but this one was evocative and well-designed.

Final Comments

An endearing escape. I totally agree with the info on their website: it’s great for first timers and families.
