A local landlady has reported the strange death of one of her residents, a Mr Harry Raynott. After unsuccessfully trying to rouse the gentleman from sleep one morning she entered his locked room only to discover the smouldering remains of a corpse.
John Walker Stockton’s greatest inventor and creator of the world’s first friction match suspects all is not as it seems. Putting his experimental and investigative skills to the test like never before, John will need to put his vast knowledge of chemistry and anatomy to the fore as he faces a new type of challenge.
