Worst escape room experience by far. Every element of this was lacking. The host was non existent, he let us in apologising in advance that the room wasn't that good and that various parts of the game and clue system were broken or not very good. Then disappeared for the rest of the game. There was an iPad system to get clues that, as promised by our host, appeared to be broken and we couldn't get it to give us a single hint. The room was a cheap, bordering on probably legally actionable knock off of Stranger things and a number of the clues required seemingly unfathomable random leaps of logic (or whatever is the opposite of logic) that made the whole room a frustrating bore.
Worst theming in a room I’ve seen, a plain black room with chalk and one plastic tint gravestone! Very cheaply done and rip off to stranger things. Puzzle illogical will go down as the worst I’ve done
Really terrible, even on entering broken items pointed out by GM. Looks thrown together as cheaply as possible and plays like it as well. Definitely won't be attempting their other rooms
TRULY TERRIBLE - DO NOT PLAY THIS ROOM
Made the mistake of returning to City Mazes in the hope that it might be somewhat better - was once again mistaken (of course).
Met by a bored looking host who scrolled on her phone whilst giving us the safety briefing before sticking us in the room with a walkie-talkie and a digital timer. Room is completely plain save for some polystyrene-like material sprayed on the door into the next equally plain room. Puzzles were illogical and non-sensical, had to radio for help multiple times only to be given clues that made no sense or told by the host that she didn’t know where in the room we were (this is a common experience at City Mazes, it should be noted). Host ended up coming into the room and solving the puzzle for us, and telling us that ‘it didn’t made sense to me either when I played it’. Opened the door to be greeted by a laminated sheet of A4 telling us we escaped and to go to the reception, where we were asked if we enjoyed the room and sent on our merry way.
Played every room there (don’t ask me why, I should learn from past mistakes), and they’re all shocking, but this one was by far the worst. Don’t waste your money.

City Mazes haven’t learned from the flaws in their rooms at the previous venue. Actually now, the escape experience now seems tacked onto the rest of the Play at Pins complex as a means of drawing in the stag and hen crowd.
The Subject 11 room was just on the wrong side of okay for me. It’s inoffensive, but lacked much in the way of a challenging experience and was quite uninspired given the subject matter.
