I think this was a good fun game. All I remember was trying to win sweets!

Game itself was enjoyable (some puzzles slightly dodgy but no major problems), but ruined by the offer of a discount if we gave a 5* review.. bribing people into giving good reviews is not the way to go ...... poor show.

Any company that opens a sci-fi game named Portal is pretty much guaranteed to catch my attention, so when we found ourselves in the vicinity with a couple of spare hours I grabbed the chance to book in. Escape For Real’s room has no connection to the computer game with which it shares a name, except perhaps some smooth silver laboratory aesthetics. Your task is to investigate the technology left behind by a mysteriously vanished scientist, and perhaps use it to follow him into a different world...

We enter a secret research laboratory to teleport into a parallel world and rescue the professor who created it.

The unstable gateway is now in danger of exploding, so teams need to explore the professor’s lab, get to the parallel world and activate a gizmo to prevent the big boom.

This isn’t a peak intensity disaster scenario though

Escape for real is based just outside Milton Keynes, in Newport Pagnall. It is based in a small unit in a business park in the edge of town. The staff were friendly, there is a small office/waiting room where they introduce the game. We were given a piece of laminated paper to read out the back story, while the member of staff did one final check of the room and then we went on our way.
