Love the fact that it is within a real barbers shop.  Some nice twists on puzzles as well, which we haven't seen before.  It's a shame the owner was thinking of closing it, as its a great little room.

GM was a little nervous but did a great job. Being set in an actual barber shop was great for theme but 2 of the actual barbers walked in on our game part way through! Puzzles were great, made sense some interesting ideas. Room was a but creepy with a couple of jump scares but well done.

Amazing little gem !  Quirky room with a wide range of puzzles.  Games host was absolutely lovely.  Has our support for future games!

Really good room! Very well thought out. Theme continues throughout and really immerses you. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into this room

Definitely! The room is not horror (as it is suitable for older children), or even that scary - it’s more about some gory detail later in the game, and a clever plot twist that ups the urgency which might give you a jump! Alex, the owner, happily told us about his origin story which you can read about on his website, and it clearly extremely proud and excited by his room - and we love the fact that he got the opportunity to create a great room in such an unusual venue! A wonderful first experience from Alex, who clearly thoroughly enjoys the role and seeing people enjoy his creation! Alex has a new room planned in a new location for the new year and we can’t to try it out!

Located in the small town of Burghfield, just outside of Reading, is a small barber shop at the side of the main road. For all intents and purposes it’s a quaint and sleepy little village. But don’t let it’s appearance deceive you… This is actually the site of a string of very mysterious disappearances. Men from all over Burghfield and Reading are popping down to the barbers for an appointment and are never seen again.

Escape The Chop overall is a must play experience. Whilst it may not have the best puzzles or be the best themed, the experience as a whole with the story and the barbers shop operating, gives the room a really unusual feeling which you won’t experience in any other room. A truly unique challenge.
