After several weeks of research, the plane of renowned physicist Von Dragen, who had just received a Nobel Prize for his research on space-time, was found near Lake Baikal in Siberia.
The reasons for the crash remain mysterious because the weather was clear and the plane had just been serviced.
Today, the biggest question is what the scientist and his wife were doing in such a remote and inhospitable region.
