Escaped with £3.3m!

Not an escape room, but a puzzle hunt across Guildford using a browser based site.

Teams are presented with a selection of challenges which have different points values, so you can decide whether you want an easy win (probably search based) or something a bit more cryptic. After you solve one puzzle correctly, it's onto the next selection of puzzles to try and get the most points in the time limit. 

The random selection of puzzles means that you don't end up tripping over other teams and following them around which was a nice feature. There's also a skip feature for if you get totally stuck.

Ensure you have at least one well charged phone in the group, or bring a battery pack. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather! 

This was great fun and we'd definitely go back and try it again as we apparently only covered a small percentage of the overall puzzles!

What's not to love about trying to defeat an evil sheep? Great to see a room with a different theme. Really fun room - bright and cheerful, fairly simple in design, but it worked well.  A couple of really nice puzzles that were a bit different. A little pricey at £40 a head for 2 players, but it is in the middle of London. Hosting and venue were good and I'd definitely go back and play their other games. 

Solid theming which wasn't extravagant, but did the job just fine. A nice start to the room and a good tactile search puzzle early on. One later puzzle didn't work too well as the prop to solve that puzzle seemed a bit broken/wobbly, but we worked around it.  A couple of trickier bits that we needed pointing in the right direction by the host. 

Solid room with a nice twist (variation) later in the room which we haven't seen anywhere else. Theming was appropriate but nothing outstanding. A nice room transition and some enjoyable puzzles. 

Our first escape room experience!  Initial room was plain and quite sparce, but in hindsight was appropriate to the theme but it took us a while to get started. We spent too long in the first area trying to find our feet and so had to rush to finish the game with some hints. The final puzzle was a bit temperamental and we had to be prompted to repeat the action to see whether the prop/puzzle worked again (it didn't!)
