Very clever concept. The acting was brilliant and funny and we really appreciated how they should us the answer to any of the puzzles we didn't complete. Only complaint is on the website it show a picture of Leeds library which isn't anywhere near where the escape room is! I would highly recommend this as an alternative to a traditional escape room and would love to try the other books that are available in there.
This was a very different style of escape game to what I've played before. Instead of escaping within the hour, your aim is to collect as many magical keys as you can that have been lost in the magical story books. You have bronze, silver and gold keys to collect going from easy to hard. Having to sacrifice a key to get a clue is also a very clever way to encourage you to really try to work out everything yourself!
The other very clever thing about this game is that each magic book that we went into we only had 20 minutes to find all the keys. We went into three different books (rooms) each with a completely unique design and theme and set so it meant we were constantly seeing new things. The other exciting thing for the future as well is they plan to open up more books and then you can choose which 3 you do.
I should also mention our host Teddy who was a brilliant character from the very moment we started. He was very funny and also was happy to talk escape rooms with us at the end.
This was a brilliant and very unique style of escape room. I could see why for some people they may not like it as much as more traditional escape rooms but for me this was such a fun experience
