You and a group of friends decide to spend a weekend in Bedford sightseeing. You rent a large house from a holiday rental website. It was supposed to be a fun relaxing weekend with friends. That is until you hear a noise downstairs in the middle of the night.
You go downstairs and realize that someone has been in the house and turned all the power off. You sense that they are still outside watching you but canβt be sure. A growing sense of dread engulfs you..
You wake the others and two of you try to open the front door and take a look around β the back door and all windows are locked β there is no way to escapeβ¦.

originalillogicalpoor hostingquite difficult
A lot of the puzzles in the room are flawed and very illogical. The host said that this was because we weren't used to multi-linear rooms, but I've played multi-linear rooms before and they made sense. A lot of the things that we missed weren't due to failing the puzzles, but due to the fact that nothing in the room points you in that direction. There was one memory aspect that couldn't be repeated, so we had to be told the answer! I'm not sure if it's correct to label this room as difficult - the puzzles aren't particularly taxing, but the logic behind them isn't there.
We played this a while back now and we're a bit disappointed (but things might have changed) - the only room we've ever failed, turns out we spent at least 20 mins on the first clue looking for items, I think we should have been offered a clue so that we didn't waste all our time right at the beginning. Equally one puzzle we had solved but hadn't seen the "effect" - when we then changed the puzzle we were not reassured. Also this room had so many red herrings in it. When it ended the host showed us what was left to be done and there was so much more to do, I really felt disappointed that we hadn't experienced half the room, and felt we should have been guided a bit more.
Had a wonderful experience at Don't Get Locked in. Extortion was brilliant and the staff on hand were really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a trip as all the rooms are fully individual and created by the owners- very impressive and a real challenge that you dont find in other escape rooms. Looking forward to trying the new rooms soon!
