Paid and travelled to area to do this escape room only to be turned away in arrival as ‘we won’t enjoy it’. Presumably this was because we were two adults (although it is marked as a family friendly room but not a children only or anything if that nature). There was no other explanation given. They offered that we could do any of their other rooms (all were free) but they all had a dark theme. Total waste of time

This room was okay, but not as good as their other room (Mission 53) that we did the day before.The set was pretty good, they really managed to bring the outdoors indoors, but once again, there was not a thought given to health and safety - once again, I came out with more than a few cuts given. Not that surprising given there was an axe, several knives, and lots of sharp edges in the room, many of which were not visibly obvious until I had already accidentally gotten caught on them.The puzzles were mostly ok, but some broken and some not that logical.Hosting was ok, but not brilliant.Thought their other room was better. Not disappointed that we did this room, but there are better ones available for sure.

Played this at home with my husband. I think we spent more time on set up than playing the game. Good idea to set up as an escape room in your house but not very difficult at all. Most puzzles were simple to work out. A little bit of fun at home though.

Escape from Oz is a beautiful escape room, and I'm only giving it 4/5 because it's not quite up there with the best games in the area, but it's still one that should be on your must-play list. The first area is very authentic, and a little bit of nice tech to add to the atmosphere. slightly further along I do think one point is extremely realistic/immersive and I really give top marks to whoever designed that. Unfortunately I think it's probably in the puzzle area that it could do with a little more thought. most of them it's fairly obvious what to do, and there aren't many moments where you're really struggling to work out what to do next or getting a really satisfying 'AHA!' moment (but it's a good game for those who like reading and counting). There are a lot of puzzles so it still takes up the time, but I didn't feel like it was a major brain teaser overall. (However looking at instagram perhaps i'm wrong because a lot of bigger teams didn't manage to escape, so it may just be down to the individual and what they can spot.) The harder puzzles were in the final area, and we did need a little clue or two to just get through the final section and escape. The story could be slightly better too, as if you hadn't seen the film you might not really know why you're finding certain things in the last section of the game. It starts off really immersive but feels like it should be a 2 hour room with more sections to really fulfil the fantasy. And this is me being really picky, because I can see a lot of love has gone into it and lots of people will enjoy it. Maybe a 'part 2' would be something to consider one day. The hosting was really good, and if I could suggest one area of improvement it would be to have a countdown/clue system in the later areas. Going back every time was a bit of a pain and clock drainer.
