We’ve now done a few lab style rooms, both good and bad, and this fell towards the upper end. Going in we got the expected feel – lots of lab style props to play around with.
There were a nice variety of physical/mechanical puzzles, searching and logic / mental puzzles (possibly a bit more of the mental side than other rooms).
Although the main physical puzzle was a lot of fun, it didn’t bear any relationship to the theme – I’m still waiting for a lab room where I feel I’m actually working in a lab to solve a mystery, rather than in a room just decorated that way.
The puzzles were all things we have seen before but were nicely varied. Overall this is a solid enjoyable room. 3.5 / 5

Sometimes you enter a section of a room and see a task and instantly know it’s going to be great fun. That was the case here – it didn’t remotely fit the theme, but we couldn’t wait to do it.
I liked several other moments in this room, such as one that used an optical effect in a way I haven’t seen done before. It does have plenty of red herring objects, though most of them can’t be mistaken for genuine clues – with a couple of notable exceptions. The biggest weakness of the room for me is that it doesn’t feel particularly cohesive; it’s a lightly themed collection of disparate puzzles. But while the quality of those puzzles varies, the highlights make it an enjoyable room. 3.5 / 5
