Claustrophilia: The Wicklewood Heritage

Budapest, Aug 2014

Rated between 3.5 and 4.5 out of 5
This review was written more than a year after we played it. Whilst we’re confident it’s accurate, it’s short and light on details.
Toby says:

Wicklewood doesn’t have much in the way in theme or story, it’s more just a room full of puzzles – but they’re excellent puzzles. There are a couple that are quite unusual and pleasing, and more physical than normal. Personally I’m all in favour of rooms that require a bit of dexterity as well as pure mental puzzles. 4 / 5
Sam says:

Although the room itself isn’t huge on production values, the combination of all the puzzles is very deliberately put together in a way that shows care and effort and is a delight to play. There is an excellent variety of puzzles so there should be something for everyone! 4.5 / 5
Chris adds:

This was a first for us. A room with no intro, no meet and greet and no real explanation for what was going on. Decidedly old school, it progressed well and felt…shall we say… well used. If you like searching for small items, this is the room for you, but we didn’t let that detract from a pretty atmospheric room with some worn but interesting puzzle content. It felt like an escape room from another time and place. 4 / 5
Lewis rated this:3.5 / 5
